This Privacy Policy explains how DocNova: PDF Scanner & Tools ("DocNova", "the app", "we", "our", or "us") handles information when you use the app. DocNova is designed to help you scan documents, import images, organize pages, create PDF files, preview PDFs, and share files you choose to share.

Information We Collect

DocNova does not require you to create an account and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, payment information, or other account profile information.

The app may process the following information on your device when you choose to use its features:

• Camera images captured by you for document scanning.
• Images or files you import from your device.
• PDF files created, previewed, stored, or shared by you.
• Basic app data stored locally, such as saved document records or file references needed for the app to work.

How We Use Information

DocNova uses document images, imported files, and PDFs only to provide the app features you request, including scanning, cropping, organizing, PDF creation, previewing, exporting, and sharing.

Local Storage

Documents and app data are stored locally on your device unless you choose to export or share them using your device's sharing options. DocNova does not operate a cloud account or cloud storage service for your documents.

Permissions

DocNova may request the following permissions:

• Camera permission, so you can scan documents and capture pages.
• Photo or media access, so you can import images from your device.

You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Some app features may not work if the required permission is disabled.

Sharing and Exporting

When you choose to share or export a PDF, DocNova uses your device's sharing features or compatible apps selected by you. Files are shared only when you take that action.

Third-Party Services

DocNova does not include advertising or analytics services. For PDF preview functionality, the app may load the open-source PDF.js viewer library from the Cloudflare cdnjs content delivery network. This is used to display PDF previews inside the app. Your documents are processed in the app for previewing and are not intentionally uploaded by DocNova to a DocNova server.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your documents with third parties except when you choose to share or export files through your device or another app.

Children's Privacy

DocNova is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We use the device storage and platform features provided by Android and Expo/React Native to support app functionality. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so you should only store or share documents that you are comfortable managing on your device.

Your Choices

You can delete documents from inside the app where available, remove exported files from your device storage, revoke app permissions in Android settings, or uninstall the app to remove app data managed by the operating system.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
